So you've decided to start using your own mini website, that's great! Now it's time to personalise it, let's get you started.

Click here > https://skys-hair-studio.salonized.com/ to see an example of what the mini website could look like with the booking widget.

Once you've clicked on > Info > Promote > Micro site you will find yourself on the micro site (mini website) settings page. Here you will be able to add information and select your preferences. You can link your mini website to your existing domain name (if you already have one). Click here to find out how > Use your own domain.

You can adjust the colour theme and write down both a header title (this could be the company's name) and a subtitle, but this is not mandatory.

Adding an image

The home page will always come with a standard stock photo, but you can change this by selecting a different picture from your computer. Add this photo by clicking on "Select file" under "Header image".

In this example we added a picture of a hair salon since this is related to the company. The picture will still look normal on the micro site settings page, but you can choose to make the header image semi-transparent (on the actual mini website) by clicking on "Header image transparency".

This option is useful whenever you've added a header titel and/or subtitle, since these will show up more clearly on top of the selected image. You can see the difference between the semi-transparent (left) and normal (right) option below.

Adding a bio, slogan or text

You have the option to add some text, such as a description of the company's activities, a slogan or something else within the "Content" box. This text will appear below the header image.

Installing widgets

You can select if you would like to show a giftcard widget on your website or not via "Widgets" (see the image above). Before selecting this option you must enable a Mollie or Stripe (online payment systems) integration so that the giftcards can actually be bought online. To do this please click on the green button and fill in the required information.

Next up we have the option to place the booking widget onto the mini website (see example in the image below), which will appear with a button on every page. This way the client will be able to easily book an appointment from every page. Go to Info > Promotie > Booking widget to change any settings for the widget. A pop-up window will appear whenever a client clicks on the online booking button, showing the different services that are currently being offered by the company.

The different pages

As you can see in the image below, we have separate pages for the home page, business hours, services, reviews and contact. The "business hours" page links back to the bottom of the "home page" where you can find the current opening and closing times. All of the (online bookable) services that you've created in your Salonized account will be shown in the "services" page on your mini website. Once you start receiving feedback from your clients (that have granted you permission to publish) you'll be able to publish this in the "reviews" section. Your contact details will be shown on the bottom of the home page, next to the business hours.
