About Stripe

Stripe is a global payment provider that allows you to accept online payments via Salonized. You can accept online payments in the online appointment module or on open invoices. Accepting credit card payments will cost a small percentage of the total transaction. Look for the latest prices and more information at stripe.com.

Enable Stripe

You can enable Stripe in the integration page within Salonized.

Once you click on enable, you will be redirected to the registration form to create an account at Stripe.

You fill in account details here (company details such as your VAT-number) and personal details (name and address). After entering the bank details to make your Stripe account and giving access to your Salonized account for accepting online payments via a credit card.

Checkout with iDEAL payments

To accept iDeal payments via Stripe, follow the next steps:

» Enable iDEAL in the Stripe Dashboard

In order to accept iDEAL payments via Checkout, you must first enable iDEAL in the Stripe Dashboard and accept the iDEAL terms of service.
Doing so requires an activated Stripe Account.

» Accept payments in the gift card widget

There's one settings for the gift card widget, related to online payments: payment fee.

Determine if the transaction costs that Stripe is counting, you want to pass on to your customers. Leave the field empty if you do not want this, or fill in the amount that you want to calculate for online payments.

You'll find the payment fee at the Online Booking settings page, all the way at the bottom.

» Accept online payments for online bookings

You can then activate the online payment options in Salonized.

  1. To do this, go to Admin Settings > Promote > Online booking settings

  2. Select at the bottom of this page whether customers can pay online optionally or are required to pay when booking an appointment

  3. Determine if the transaction costs that Stripe is counting you want to pass on to your customers. Leave the field empty if you do not want this, or fill in the amount that you want to calculate for online payments.

» Accept payments for outstanding invoices

  1. Go to Settings >> Sales >> Settings and make sure to send a payment link in the email invoice if there is an outstanding balance. It will let you save as an outstanding and an invoice to the customer's email, so the customer via credit card payment.

Once an open invoice has been mailed to the customer, and the customer has made a payment via Stripe, the invoice is automatically put on Salonized at the status paid.

Reports

At the Reports page you will find the Online payments in the left column Payment methods.

Invoices paid online can not be edited or deleted. To make a correction, you can create a credit invoice. Read how to create a credit invoice.
