Setting up a success URL is a powerful way to streamline your customer journey and gain deep insights into your business performance. By redirecting clients to a specific page after they finish a booking, you can move beyond guesswork and start measuring your actual success with precision. This article covers everything you need to know to get this feature running, from the initial setup to understanding the customer experience.
Why should I use a Success URL?
A success URL allows you to track exactly how many visitors actually complete a booking. By setting this up, you can compare two key metrics to see how well your booking widget is performing:
Widget Visitors: The number of people who landed on the page where your booking widget is located.
Completed Bookings: The number of people who actually reached your "thank you" page.
In this way, you can accurately measure your conversion rate in Google Analytics.
How do I set up my Success URL?
Configuring your success URL is a straightforward process. Here’s how to get started:
Create a page: Build a separate "Thank You" page on your own website.
Copy the link: Copy the URL of this new page.
Contact us: Send the URL to our support team via the chatbox in the bottom right corner of your Salonized account.
Configuration: Once we receive the link, we will configure the redirect for you.
What does my customer see after the redirect to my Success URL?
With a success URL enabled, the customer journey becomes a seamless brand experience on your own domain:
Usually, when a customer finishes a booking, they see a standard confirmation message within the widget.
With the URL enabled, the customer is instead redirected to your custom-made thank-you page on your own website.
Example of a success URL structure (customer journey):
Step 1: A client starts a booking at yourwebsite.com/book-online
Step 2: After finishing, they are automatically redirected to yourwebsite.com/thank-you
This permits you to collect additional information on your customers' behaviour while they stay within your brand environment.
