Is the Register certified and compliant in France?

The Register is not LNE-certified yet, but it is compliant to use in France today. What that means, and the one document you need to sign.

Short answer: certification is still in progress, but you can use the Register in France today — provided the Fiskaly integration is active and you sign the attestation below. This page explains why those two things are enough, and we will update it when the certificate arrives.

Are you certified?

Not yet. We are going through certification with LNE, one of the bodies accredited for this in France, and we will publish the outcome on this page as soon as it is issued.

Can I still legally use the Register?

Yes. Certification and compliance are two different things: certification is one way of proving compliance, not the standard itself.

The Register signs every receipt, invoice and credit note it produces through Fiskaly SIGN FR, so a recorded sale cannot be altered afterwards. That is what French law requires of cash register software.

Two conditions apply while certification is pending: the Fiskaly integration has to be active, and you need the signed attestation described below. In France the Register cannot be opened at all without Fiskaly enabled, so the first one is difficult to get wrong. See Using the Fiskaly integration in France, ensuring a compliant register.

What if I get a tax audit before the certificate arrives?

The attestation below is what answers that audit. It is the proof French law asks for: we attest that the software meets the required conditions, and you attest that you use it to record your customers' payments. Those two signatures together are what an inspector is looking for.

Once the LNE certificate is issued, new customers will not need the attestation any more. Keep the copy you signed even then — it is what covers the period before the certificate existed.

How does self-attestation work?

The attestation comes in two parts, called volets, in one document.

The official document is still being reviewed and finalized. Please check this page again at a later time.

Volet 1 is the editor's half, and it is already completed and signed by the editor of the software, Treatwell Salonized NL B.V. It names the software, its version, and the functions covered.

Volet 2 is the half only you can sign. It states that you acquired this cash register system and that you use it to record your customers' payments. Download the document, complete Volet 2, sign it, and keep it with your accounting records.

The attestation has no legal value until both parts are signed, and keeping it is your responsibility rather than ours — we do not hold a copy on your behalf.

With Volet 2 signed and Fiskaly active, you have what French law asks of you as a user of a cash register system. Your other obligations as a taxpayer — daily closings, retention periods — are unchanged by any of this; see Vos obligations en tant qu'utilisateur d'un système de caisse en France (in French).

What is an individual attestation?

It is the document French law accepts as proof that cash register software meets the required standard. Article 286, I-3° bis of the Code général des impôts requires cash register software to guarantee the inalterability, security, conservation and archiving of sales data.

Since 16 February 2026, under Article 125 of Law No. 2026-103, the editor of the software may prove this with an individual attestation on the official model, instead of a certificate from an accredited body. The model is BOI-LETTRE-000242, in force since 25 March 2026, and it is the model used here.

The two-volet structure is part of that official model: one half is signed by whoever edits the software, the other by the business that acquires and uses it.

What do I need to do?

  • Make sure the Fiskaly integration is active — see Using the Fiskaly integration in France for how to set it up.

  • Download the attestation above, complete and sign Volet 2.

  • Keep the signed document with your accounting records, where you can produce it on request.

That is the whole list. There is nothing further to do until the certificate arrives, and we will tell you here when it does.

What do I show if the tax administration asks?

Three things, and you can reach all of them without asking us first.

The attestation, with both volets completed and signed. Volet 1 covers the software, Volet 2 covers your use of it, and an inspector will expect to see both halves of the same document.

Your signed transaction archive. Fiskaly keeps a tamper-proof archive of every transaction and you download it yourself; Using the Fiskaly integration in France explains how.

If an inspector wants the data directly, Accès de l'administration fiscale à vos données de caisse is written for them (in French — it is addressed to the tax administration).

If you are asked for something that is not here, contact support through the chat and we will help.
