On this page you can read how it works when you want to credit invoices with a prepaid card as an item or as a payment method.

You can credit an invoice with a prepaid card as an item, but only if the prepaid card has not yet been used as a payment method on another invoice.

Crediting an invoice with a prepaid card as an item is simple and works just like crediting other invoices.

Go to the checkout> Invoices tab and search for the relevant invoice.
Open the invoice detail screen and click on "credit invoice"

Select the correct payment method with which you want to credit the invoice and complete the credit invoice. The prepaid card will then receive a different status, namely: credited. You can therefore no longer use it as a payment method.

If a prepaid card has already been used as a payment method on another invoice, you can no longer credit or remove the original invoice with the prepaid card as an item. These two buttons are therefore not visible.

Do you still want to credit the original invoice with the prepaid card as an item? Then first you have to edit the invoices on which the prepaid card is used as a payment method, and adjust the payment method there. You can see on which invoice (s) the prepaid card was used by opening the prepaid card overview.

Have you used a prepaid card as a payment method but still want to credit that invoice? That is possible, but the prepayment is not put back on the prepaid card.

You select a payment method for how you return the money to the customer, for example in cash.
