Introducing Customer Groups
Customer groups - located in the Customers area - help you better understand your customer base and make it easy to target specific groups with custom messages. You can send pre-built (or tailored) email or SMS campaigns to encourage the right customers to book their next appointment, helping you turn first-time visitors into regulars and keep your loyal customers coming back.
Understanding Customer Groups
We've created two initial customer groups to help you get started with your retention efforts.
Lapsing Regulars
This group includes customers who have been regulars in the past but haven’t booked their next appointment. We've identified them as customers with:
three or more appointments in the last 12 months
zero appointments in the last two months
no future appointments booked.
These are your valuable, regular customers who might have simply forgotten to book their next visit. Send them a friendly reminder to get them back in your chair!
First-Visit Follow-Ups
This group is made up of your new customers who have had one appointment and now have the potential to become regulars. We've identified them as customers with:
one past appointment in the last 30 days
no future appointments booked.
Reaching out to these customers after their first visit is a great way to show you appreciate their business and tempt them back for a second appointment.
How to Use Customer Groups
1. Navigate to the Customers area and click on Customer groups.
2. Choose a group to view the list of customers within it.
3. From there, click Send message
to easily send a targeted email or SMS campaign.
We've created message templates (email and SMS) specifically designed to encourage these customers to book their next appointment. For example, here is the email template for the First-visit follow-ups group:
Once you've sent a message to customers within a group, this will be visible on in the customer groups and messages tables:
