Subsequent bookings

Here you can read an explanation about the different settings for preventing gaps in your calendar when booking online

Sometimes it's nice to have a little control over the times at which a customer can book an appointment through your online appointment widget.

There are three different settings for this:

  1. Disabled

  2. Schedule new appointments only right after other calendar items and events

  3. Schedule new appointments right after or right before other calendar items and events

You can find these settings via Settings > Online Bookings > Schedule Management

1. Disabled

The customer will see all available times in the calendar.

Example: your business hours are 10:00 to 18:00. Your appointment interval is set to 15 minutes and your agenda is completely empty for a certain day.
The customer will see 10:00, 10:15, 10:30, 10:45, 11:00 etc. as available options.

2. Schedule new appointments only right after other calendar items and events

The customer only gets a few options:

  • The first available time (opening hour if calendar is empty/available at that time)

  • The time after an absence or task in your calendar (such as a lunch break)

  • The time right after a planned appointment

Example: your business hours are 10:00 to 18:00. You have a lunch break from 12:00 to 12:30 and there is an appointment in your agenda from 15:00 to 16:00.
The customer will then see 10:00, 12:30 and 16:00 as available options to book online.

3. Schedule new appointments right after or right before other calendar items and events

The customer will see the following options:

  • The first available time (opening hour if calendar is empty/available at that time)

  • The time before an absence or task in your calendar (such as a lunch break)

  • The time after an absence or task in your calendar (such as a lunch break)

  • The time before a planned appointment (if there's a free spot of course)

  • The time right after a planned appointment

  • The last spot before closing

Example: your opening hours are 10:00 to 18:00. You have a lunch break from 12:00 to 12:30 and there is an appointment in your agenda from 15:00 to 16:00.

Let's say the client chooses to book a service of 30 minutes, then the customer will then see 10:00, 11:30, 12:30, 14:30, 16:00 and 17:30 as available options.

Note: when changing the settings don't forget to click on save in the bottom-right corner!
