In order to use Salonized you simply need a computer, laptop or tablet and an internet connection. To make life easier you can also start working with a barcode scanner, receipt printer and cash register. Salonized does not provide this hardware.
Can I connect my receipt printer?
Yes, it is possible to connect a receipt printer to Salonized. After checkout you can automatically print a receipt for your customer. It should be possible to connect any printer to Salonized, both a wired and a wireless one. The printer must be installed correctly on your computer, laptop or tablet. The best way to test this is to use your web browser / text editor to print a simple page using the standard print function of your browser. Unfortunately we cannot offer support in setting up the printer. We would like to refer you to the supplier of your printer for issues on instalment.
Can I pair my Bluetooth receipt printer?
Yes, you can connect a Bluetooth receipt printer to Salonized. However, technical knowledge is required to install the correct drivers and network settings. If you are not able to do this yourself, we advise you to let someone with experience do it for you.
We have good experiences with the Star mC-Print3 receipt printer with Bluetooth support. It is necessary to install the drivers for this printer and make the necessary network settings. To do this, you must carefully go through all the steps in these manuals.
Can I connect a payment terminal?
You can use a pin device but this cannot be directly controlled by Salonized. You can select different (and multiple) payment methods, so that payments are properly registered for bookkeeping. You then type in the owed amount in the pin device.
Can I connect a cash register?
Salonized cannot directly open the cash drawer. However, you can link the cash register to the receipt printer so that the receipt printer can open the cash register.
