We receive daily questions about the integration with Mailchimp. Since we do not provide full support for the program, but still want to support you as best as we can, we have compiled the 10 most frequently asked questions regarding the connection between Salonized and Mailchimp for you.

1. Is a Mailchimp account free?

Absolutely! With a free account, you can add up to 2,000 subscribers and send 10,000 emails per month. Don’t have a Mailchimp account yet? You can easily create one here.

2. Is there another way to email my clients?


Another option to send an e-mail (not a newsletter), is to send a message via the customer base. Go to your customers by clicking on the small icon in the blue navigation bar in your account > send message (button at the top right corner of your page).

3. I want to export my clients to Mailchimp, but I don't have any clients to select. What should I do?

Before you can export clients to Mailchimp, make sure you have added all clients in Salonized. This can be done either manually or by importing your customer data.

4. How can I synchronize all Salonized clients with my Mailchimp account?

You can effortlessly export all clients through the Salonized customer database > Export to Mailchimp (button at the top right corner of your page).

5. What should I fill in for 'name segment' if I want to export clients?


Create a segment name so you can easily locate it in your Mailchimp account. Then, you'll first locate the linked list and subsequently the segment to which you want to send a message.

6. How do I create a newsletter in Mailchimp?

7. Are all clients subscribed to the newsletter in Mailchimp?

Only the clients who have subscribed to the newsletter (green checkmark next to the client's name) in Salonized will be exported to Mailchimp and are thus automatically subscribed to the newsletter in Mailchimp.

8. How can clients un-subscribe from the newsletter?


Customers can unsubscribe themselves from any newsletter. Afterwards, when making an online appointment, they will be asked again whether they want to subscribe to the newsletter.

9. I have exported a new list to Mailchimp, but it is not visible there. What should I do?

Most likely, you'll need to refresh the page of your Mailchimp account first. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please reach out to our support department for further assistance.

10. Why am I receiving a notification email indicating that the integration with Mailchimp has been disabled?

It's possible that if you've modified an imported list in Mailchimp, Salonized may no longer recognize it. In such instances, consider deleting the list and creating it anew.
