How do I sync my appointments with Google Calendar?

Turn on the Google Calendar integration to send your appointments to Google Calendar automatically, for the whole business or split per team member.

Connecting the app to Google Calendar sends your appointments straight into a Google Calendar, so you can check your day without opening the app. Find out below how to turn it on, split it per team member and switch it off again.

How do I turn on Google Calendar syncing?

  1. Open 'Integrations' and find the 'Google Calendar' card.

  2. Turn the integration on and sign in with Google.

  3. Allow access to your calendars.

You'll land back on the Google Calendar settings, where you choose how appointments should sync.

Can I use a separate calendar for each team member?

Yes. Under 'Synchronization mode' you choose between all appointments in one Google Calendar and a separate Google Calendar for each employee's appointments. You can change this any time later in the card's settings.

  • With one calendar, you pick an existing Google Calendar or create a new one for the whole business.

  • Per team member, everyone gets their own picker, with the same option to create a new calendar. Set a team member's picker to 'Disabled' to leave them out.

Which appointments show up in Google Calendar?

Appointments from this week onwards. Anything that starts before the beginning of the current week isn't sent.

Each appointment shows the customer's name, the team member, the treatment and any notes you added to the appointment.

Can Google Calendar events also block time in my diary?

On some accounts, yes. Events from Google Calendar come into the app as absences, so that time can't be booked over. This direction is separate from the one above, and it isn't available on every account.

Don't want an event to come in? Add '#sz_ignore' to that event's description. For a recurring series, add '#sz_ignore_all' to one of the events.

How do I turn off Google Calendar syncing?

Find the enabled 'Google Calendar' card under 'Integrations', use its delete icon and confirm. This disconnects Google Calendar completely.

To leave out just one team member instead, set their picker to 'Disabled' rather than turning the whole integration off.
