Salonized is a salon management software built to give you total control over your daily operations. It provides the tools you need to manage your calendar, customers, and payments in one place.

To help you discover how Salonized can transform your daily routine, we have created a handy starter's guide that covers everything you need to know to start using your account - from customer and appointment management, to services, communications and the booking widget.


How do I create a customer in Salonized?

In Salonized, you can manage your customer database digitally. All appointments, invoices, notes, and reports you create are automatically linked to the correct customer, so the right data is always just a few clicks away. Read more about it here.

  • You can add a new customer via the Customers tab.

  • Tip: First, create a customer account for yourself using your private email address. This allows you to test the email notifications immediately after scheduling an appointment.


How do I add a service in Salonized?

You can define which services customers can book with you by setting up your menu in the settings menu. Here’s how to create the categories and services you offer:

  1. Go to ‘Settings’ (the gear icon) in the left sidebar.

  2. Under ‘Calendar’, select ‘Services’.

  3. Click on ‘Create new

  4. Choose between the category and the service.

  5. Fill in the details.

  6. Save your changes.

How do I manage appointments in Salonized?

With the Salonized digital calendar, you have access to your appointments wherever and whenever you want:

  • Add an appointment to your calendar in just a few steps:

    1. Go to ‘Calendar’ in the left sidebar.

    2. Click ‘Create appointment

    3. Fill in the details (service, duration, employee, date and time, notes, customer)

    4. Confirm by clicking ‘Create appointment’ at the bottom.

  • Easily change or move an appointment (during work hours or at home).

    1. Drag it to another time in the calendar, or

    2. Open the appointment and click on ‘Reschedule’.

  • Check your future schedule from any device.

How do I check out an appointment in Salonized?

You can check out an appointment easily and effortlessly through Salonized’s register area. Here’s how:

  • Access the Register: Click on Register (the cart icon) in the left sidebar.

  • Check out from the Calendar: You can also check out an existing appointment by clicking on it in the Calendar and selecting the cart icon.

  • Manage Sales: In the checkout area, you can select all items being sold and easily apply discounts.

  • Simplify Bookkeeping: All invoices you create are automatically saved for your records.

Note: Salonized offers a full POS (Point of Sale) system that allows you to easily process payments for customer appointments.

How do I edit automatic email messages in Salonized?

Salonized automatically sends your customers a confirmation and a reminder of their appointment via email, which you can fine-tune to your liking.

  • You can adjust the content of these messages via Messages > Email templates.

  • You can add information about your cancellation policy or include a nice image.

Note: To edit the email templates, you will need to verify your email address first.


How do I send an automatic feedback message?

You can automatically ask your customers for feedback after their appointment to get quick insight into your service quality.

  • Enable the feedback message via Settings > Customer > Settings

  • The feedback message is sent approximately one hour after the appointment ends.

  • When you receive new feedback, you can respond quickly via your Salonized account or even publish it on your website.

  • You can find the feedback itself under the feedback icon at the top.


What is the booking widget, and how does it work?

The Salonized booking widget is an online calendar that gives your customers the option to schedule their own appointments online. It’s a convenient tool for both you and your clients:

  • Time saver: It reduces the number of phone calls you need to take.

  • 24/7 Booking: The widget allows your customers to book even outside of your opening hours.

  • Easy Integration: You can add the widget to your own website and/or Facebook page.

To use your booking widget, simply set up the feature via Settings > Online bookings.
