How can I get started with the Treatwell Integration?

Activate the Treatwell integration in Salonized and improve your online presence.

Updated yesterday

Treatwell is Europe’s top destination for beauty bookings. Integrating it with Salonized gives you the best of both worlds: increased visibility on the Treatwell Marketplace and seamless management within your Salonized account. In this article, you will find the essential steps and tips to successfully manage your salon after enabling the integration.

How does the Treatwell Dashboard Work?

The first step to getting started is ensuring your business is verified.

  • Once your contract is signed, you must enter your bank details and complete the identity verification process (KYC) to make your page visible. Check this article to see how.

  • After completing the verification, your Treatwell page will be published and become visible to clients within 24 hours.

At this point, you will gain access to your Treatwell dashboard. To open it:

  1. Log in to Salonized.

  2. Click 'Online' in the left sidebar.

  3. Click on 'Treatwell'.

  4. Use the dashboard to manage your Treatwell page and find the link to your live page in the top-right corner, under 'My Treatwell Page'.

How can I set up my Treatwell page and get noticed?

Now that your dashboard is active, it’s time to stand out. Creating an appealing Treatwell page is easy and essential for reaching new customers. To improve your ranking in the Marketplace, follow these steps to add content:

  • Photos: Upload at least 5 horizontal photos (interiors, exterior, tools, and 1 owner portrait). Go to Salonized > TW logo > ‘Your salon photos’.

  • Description: Highlight what makes you special via Salonized > TW > ‘Upload your salon description’.

  • Reviews: Ensure you have at least 5 reviews for an initial visibility boost. Read here how to publish reviews on Treatwell.

  • Opening Hours: Correct the hours displayed on your page. Note: This only affects the display on the page, not your actual availability.

Can I edit my Treatwell page?

As your business grows, you may need to update your profile. You can manage and customise your page directly through your Salonized account (there are no separate login details for Treatwell).

Changes you can make yourself in Salonized:

  • Salon Name & Address (Settings > Edit Company Information).

  • Opening Hours (Settings > Schedule).

  • Photos and Salon Description.

  • Prices and names of existing services (Settings > Services).

Changes you cannot make yourself:

  • Adding new services to the Treatwell page.

  • Changing your IBAN.

For these, please contact us via chat support or email (support@salonized.com).

How can I publish reviews on Treatwell?

A key part of keeping your page updated is social proof. To publish reviews, ensure you have enabled feedback requests via Settings > Customer Settings. If you have the Salonized Appointments plan, this feature is included at no additional cost.

Keep in mind:

  • All feedback (positive or negative) is pushed to Treatwell to ensure transparency.

  • Upon reaching your 5th review, you receive a temporary visibility boost on the Marketplace!

  • If a review includes only a rating (no written comments), it will be added to the star rating score at the top of the page.

  • If a customer actually writes a comment in the review, their name will also appear with the rating in the reviews section at the bottom of the Treatwell page.

How can I receive payments with Treatwell?

To see your specific payment terms, download and review your contract.

  • Treatwell sends an invoice every 2 weeks (around the 1st and 16th), and you receive funds within a few days.

  • Enter your IBAN in your Treatwell Dashboard to receive online payments.

  • To change your IBAN, contact Salonized support.

  • To change your billing email, go to Settings > Edit Company Information.

What information can I see in the Treatwell Statistics section?

In the statistics section, you can see how many bookings were made and the gross revenue (online and in-salon) generated over the last 30 days and the last 12 months. Please note:

  • Only past appointments are counted (not future ones).

  • This total represents gross revenue and does not account for commissions or transaction fees yet to be deducted.

How do cancellations work with Treatwell?

On the Treatwell Marketplace, customers always have the flexibility to cancel.

However, you can choose how these cancellations impact your business by setting your cancellation window. This setting is shared, so it applies to both your Salonized and Treatwell bookings. To set it:

  1. Go to Settings > Calendar Settings.

  2. Under ‘Changes by customer’, choose how many hours' notice you require.

Note: If this information is left blank, Treatwell’s standard 3-hour policy applies.

Here’s how payments and refunds work:

  • Prepaid Online: If a customer pays upfront and cancels outside of your personal cancellation window, they won't receive an automatic refund. This ensures you are still compensated for the reserved time.

  • Pay at Salon: For customers who choose to pay at the salon, they can cancel at any time. Should a late cancellation occur, you can still reach out and send them a manual payment request if you wish.

What do I need to keep in mind with the Treatwell Integration?

To wrap up, here are the essential "golden rules" for a smooth integration:

  • Price changes for booked services: Inform us immediately of price changes in booked services so Treatwell can adjust commissions.

  • Cancellations: Cancel future appointments in your calendar. For retroactive changes, email us with the booking number (this reference number starts with a 'T'). Customers can also cancel online via the confirmation email they receive from Treatwell.

  • No-Shows: Mark no-shows in your calendar immediately to avoid paying commission on that appointment.

  • Payment Methods: To minimise no-shows, you can set your page to 'Prepay Online Only.' Contact us to enable this option. However, bear in mind that salons that use this feature may receive fewer bookings, as not every customer likes this payment method.

If you have any questions, contact our customer service via email, chat, or phone. We are happy to help you!
