What materials do I need to send for my Salonized website?

Our design team is ready to work their magic and build your personalised website; they just need a little inspiration from you first! Here’s what we need to get the ball rolling:

1. Show Your Brand Identity: Colours & Logo

To keep your branding consistent, from your salon's interior and flyers to your website, we need your logo and colour palette.

  • Be specific: Instead of just 'Blue,' tell us if you love 'Navy Blue,' 'Teal,' or 'Pastel Baby Blue. For the most accurate match, send us your specific HEX colour codes (e.g., Teal = #008080).

  • Colour combination: Tell us if you prefer a bold, colourful energy or a clean, monochromatic look using just two main colours.

  • The Logo: Please send or upload your logo file. PNG or SVG are best, because they have a transparent background.

2. Set the ‘Vibe’

What is the first thing a client feels when they step into your salon? Since we can’t visit you in person (yet!), describe your atmosphere so our copywriters can write the perfect text for you.

  • Core Atmosphere (The "3 Magic Words"): How would you describe your salon in three words? Cosy & Family-friendly? Modern & Edgy? Luxury & Quiet?.

  • Brand Voice: How should your website "speak" to your audience?

    • Friendly: Uses "I" or "we" to create a personal connection.

    • Professional/Formal: Uses a polished, elevated tone.

    • Neutral: Focuses on the brand as an entity (using "the salon" or "they").

  • Your Signature Speciality: What is your business's "claim to fame"? Whether it’s being "The city's premier fade specialist" or "Master colourist for curly hair," let us know what sets you apart.

3. Introduce the Team

Your clients don't just book a service; they book the experts behind the chair. Let’s introduce your team in a way that builds trust and excitement.

  • Names: Please provide the first names of your staff members as you would like them to appear on the site.

  • Specialisations: What is each stylist’s "superpower"? Whether Julie is an Ombré Specialist or Tom is the Master Barber, tell us their niche so we can highlight their expertise to your clients.

  • Pronoun Preferences (Optional): To ensure our copywriting is accurate and respectful for all team members, please feel free to include their preferred pronouns (e.g., he/she/they).

4. The Perfect Pictures

The right imagery tells your story before a client even reads a word. Here is how we can fill your gallery:

  • Your Own Photos: If you have high-quality photos of your salon, your work, or your team, we’d love to feature them. Please provide between 2 and 5 of your favourite shots.

  • Our Professional Library: If you don’t have photos yet, don’t worry. We have a vast database of professional imagery at our fingertips. Just let us know who your typical clients are so we can choose the right match.

    • Example: "We specialise in Afro/textured hair, so please use models that reflect that."

    • Example: "We are a Barber Shop, so please use photos of men's styles!”

5. Your Favourite Products

To highlight the quality and care you provide to every client, we will need:

  • Brand Names: List the product lines you use (e.g., L'Oréal, Oway, Keune).

  • The ‘Why’: Tell us what makes these brands special to you. Whether they are eco-friendly and plant-based or a trusted luxury classic, we’ll use this to help tell your story.

6. Practical Information

To ensure your clients can find and contact you easily, please provide the following details:

  • Full salon name (exact spelling)

  • Address

  • Phone number

  • Contact email

  • Opening hours

  • Social media links

  • Languages spoken

  • Location Type: Specify if your salon is home-based or a commercial shop.

  • Client Access: Let us know who can book your treatments and if any services are excluded for specific groups.

7. Website Style Preference

To help our designers match your aesthetic, choose between a Dynamic or Classic layout.

  • Dynamic Style: Best for a high-energy feel.

    • This often includes animations, motion effects, or background videos.

    • Specify if you have brand videos we can use and whether you prefer subtle or eye-catching effects.

  • Classic Style: Best for a timeless, sophisticated look.

    • This focuses on clean visuals, static imagery, and elegant design.

    • Let us know if we should focus on large, high-impact photos and whether you prefer a minimal or ornate style.

8. Your Digital Address (Domain Name)

  • New Site: If you don’t have a website yet, tell us what you want your address to be (e.g., www.mysalonname.com).

  • Existing Site: If you already have a domain you want to keep, we can help you move it. We will just need the Auth Code from your current provider to make the transfer. Please tell us what your domain is, and we can guide you through this process.
