A client doesn't turn up, and the chair sits empty. To ensure it doesn't happen again, you can set up automatic emails to let the client know. In case you don't want to send it to that client, don't worry, we'll always check with you first. Find out how to set it up below.
How do I switch on the automatic no-show email?
The no-show email will be automatically switched off, so you will have to manually activate this from your account.
To do this, go to 'Settings' > 'Calendar settings', find the no-show section, and tick 'Ask me to send a no-show email to the customer'. Then save the page.
The same tick box sits at the top of the no-show email template, so you can switch it on there too.

How do I mark an appointment as a no-show?
Open the appointment in your calendar.
Choose 'Mark as no show' from the appointment's actions.
Confirm when the app asks whether to email the client, and it goes out straight away.
Marked one by mistake? 'Unmark as no show' is in the same place.
Please note, you won't be able to unmark the no-show for any bookings made on the Treatwell booking platform.
Why hasn't a no-show email gone out?
You're only asked about the email when all three of these apply:
The tick box in your calendar settings is on. With it off, nothing is sent, and you aren't asked.
The client doesn't have an email address on their record.
The appointment didn't come in through Treatwell Marketplace.
Closing the option to send the email instead of confirming it will also leave the email unsent.
How do I change what the no-show email says?
Go to 'Messages' > 'Email templates' and open the no-show email.
You can rewrite the subject and the message; check the preview as you type, then click 'Save'.
Please note: You can't edit any template until the contact email address on your account has been verified.
