Push notifications ensure you never miss a booking again by sending real-time notifications straight to your device when a client books an appointment. Whether you’re managing a busy salon or running from one client to the next, these notifications keep you informed and in control.
In this help article you can read how to set it up and help you troubleshoot any issues.
⚠️ Push notifications are only available if the Salonized App is installed from the App Store or Google Play.
How to set up Push Notifications
Push notifications are currently sent only for appointments that are booked online through the booking widget - we currently don't support notifications for when appointments are rescheduled or cancelled.
Before setting up notifications, make sure you’ve installed the Salonized app on your device from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
Open the app and log in with your user account. Go to your Account settings.
Look for the Notifications section and choose your preferred notification window:
Today – You’ll receive notifications only for appointments scheduled for the current day.
Next 7 Days – You’ll receive notifications for appointments scheduled from today through the same day next week.
Next 30 Days – You’ll receive notifications for appointments scheduled for today and the next 30 days.
Ensure you’ve saved your changes!
Why am I not receiving notifications?
Is the app installed and are you logged in?
Ensure the Salonized app is installed and you’re logged in with a user account that has pushed notifications configured in their settings. Make sure your user account is not automatically logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity in Settings > User accounts > Edit.
Are push notifications enabled in your device settings?
Check your phone’s Notification Settings to make sure notifications for Salonized are allowed:
On iOS: Go to Settings > Notifications > Salonized, and ensure Allow Notifications is toggled on.
On Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Salonized > Notifications, and toggle on the notification settings.
Are the notifications specific to new appointments?
Remember, notifications are currently only triggered by new appointments created via the booking widget. You won’t receive notifications for other events like rescheduled or canceled appointments.
Still not receiving notifications?
If everything’s set up correctly and you’re still having trouble, try:
Logging out of the app and logging back in.
Restarting your phone.
Updating your app to the latest version.
