If you've got more team members than treatment rooms, or you only have one of a piece of equipment a service needs, set it up as a resource. Your account reserves the resource separately for each appointment, so the same room or tool never gets double-booked.
A resource is also useful in a few other situations:
A service that needs 2 or more team members at once can be booked as a DUO treatment.
Link a room or tool to a service, and a customer can only book that service when the resource is available too.
Give a resource its own timetable, so a service is only bookable in the evening, for example.
Here's how to add a resource, make it bookable and link it to services.
Where do I add a room or tool?
Go to 'Settings' → 'Resources' and click 'New resource'.
Then choose whether you're adding a 'Room' or a 'Tool'.
How do I make a resource bookable online?
On the same screen, tick to allow the resource to be bookable online.
Below that, you choose the timetable. Leave the manual timetable unticked and the resource follows the location's timetable. Tick it and you'll set its opening hours separately on the timetable page.
How do I link services to a resource?
Further down the same screen, tick which services this resource is available for.
Can't see the service you need? It doesn't exist in your account yet. Add the service first and it'll appear in this list. You can read how in this article.
Does adding a resource cost anything?
No. Adding a room or tool doesn't show any pricing information, unlike adding a team member.
